We all know that the bathroom is one of the most important rooms when you are trying to sell a home. However, it’s often one of the last rooms you think to fix up, since it’s often out of the way and it’s not a room you spend a lot of time in consecutively. Updates to your bathroom can easily get expensive, as well. Once you factor in not only the cost of product to update, but also the plumbing, it becomes a daunting task that many avoid. But it doesn’t have to be a monstrous task! Here are a few of our favorite simple additions to your bathroom that will make a big difference.

Update the sink and vanity

This may seem like an expensive update, but it doesn’t have to be! If you feel like the vanity and sink in your bathroom is an eyesore, you can easily get a new one to swap it out with. Take a quick walk around your local Home Depot or even Ikea for ideas of pricing, as well as what kind of vanity you are interested in updating to. There are so many options out there within reasonable price ranges, and it will completely change the look of your entire bathroom.

Paint or add wallpaper

A coat of paint or some new wallpaper will do wonders to the overall look of your bathroom. If your bathroom is a color you hate, or even if it’s just gotten dingy and kind of gross, you can completely revive it with some new paint!

Swap out the hardware

A small change that will make a big impact, is swapping out the bathroom hardware! Knobs, towel bars, and faucets are not that expensive to replace. You can upgrade to a new color to give the room a new feel. The right hardware can completely transform the room.

Update shelving and storage

Do you have an ugly medicine cabinet in your bathroom? Getting new shelving and storage solution is a great way to change your bathroom! Open shelving is a gorgeous trend right now, and we don’t think it’s going anywhere! Get a better mirror for your bathroom, or even just add a simple frame to your existing mirror to take your bathroom to the next level.
