Director of Mortgage Operations

This individual will be responsible for the management and oversite of National Mortgage Operations to include, Set Up, Loan Processing, QA, Closing, Funding and Post Closing. The Director is directly responsible for ensuring the timely, accurate, compliant processing and closing of all loans. This individual sets and communicates direction, goals, and objectives in alignment with production goals and objectives, as well as Corporate directives for consistency and efficiency. The Director will provide training, guidance, and support for all team members. They will implement new strategies and processes to deliver quality loans and reduce the cost to produce loans. Essential Duties

  • The ability to provide exemplary written and verbal communication is crucial for this position.
  • Directly responsible for the following departments: Set Up, Processing, QA, Closing, Funding and Post Closing on a National basis
  • Exhibit effective workforce management skills and be able to achieve/maintain productivity in each department that is acceptable to our internal and external customers.
  • Provide training and guidance for all departments
  • Responsible for staffing and budgeting of all the department with the help of the regional managers and in collaboration with sales management
  • Provide direct and concise performance management or termination as necessary
  • Develop productivity and quality standards and measure the results continuously
  • Continually seek and implement system and process enhancements to increase productivity or quality
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and all Department heads to meet company objectives
  • Respond quickly and precisely to any Agency, QC, Investor or other department request or reports as it relates to operations.
  • Create and implement and action plan and a feedback loop for continuous improvement based on the results of these reports.
  • Maintain a less than 5% error rate on QC reports with a goal of lower than 3%
  • Work with the BI team to develop productivity and quality scorecards for the departments
  • Review escalated issues in a timely manner
  • Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers
  • Effectively utilizes each team member to accomplish the project objectives
  • Participates as a member of the project team

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job​

Experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years of full-time mortgage operations experience
  • Minimum of 3 years in a full-time mortgage operations management role
  • Familiarity with Agency and investor programs and guidelines

National Underwriting Manager

The National Underwriting Manager is responsible for the management and oversight of underwriters on the underwriting team that performs underwriting of Conventional conforming, non-conforming and Government loans in a timely manner for completeness and compliance with Citywide Home Loan guidelines. In this role, you will underwrite and review submitted files to analyze for Capacity, Capital, Character, and Condition. This includes ensuring that loan requests meet program and product specifications or counteroffer to a different product and/or program when appropriate. Responsibilities:

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years management experience.

  • Experience managing a diversified Mortgage Underwriting Operation with strong technical, business and managerial skills.
  • Seven + years manual mortgage underwriting experience required.
  • Experience with underwriting loans $1.5 M+.
  • Conforming, government (prefer LAPP/DE) product experience a must. FHA DE; VA LAP designations preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of complex personal and business financial analysis and an expertise in tax return and balance sheet analysis, including both cash flow and AGI methods
  • Thorough knowledge of MI policies

Encompass Developer

Citywide Home Loans is seeking an experienced Encompass LOS Software Developer to participate in the transition from Encompass360 (client hosted) Loan Origination System to Encompass Next Gen. The Encompass Developer will provide specialized technical and business knowledge to multiple application development and enhancement projects.  This role has principal responsibility of creative programming and related maintenance of the company’s Mortgage Software interfaces.  The Encompass Developer will collaborate with the Director of Encompass Management, Encompass Team Members, and other Mortgage Professionals as needed, on project build processes, testing, training, and project rollouts.

Primary Responsibilities & Objectives

  • Translate VB.Net and C# code to JavaScript to ensure continued system functionality;

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for receipt and accuracy of all recorded mortgages and final title policies.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred but not required
  • 2-3 years’ experience in accounting or auditing in the financial services industry, preferably banking or mortgage banking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence and demeanor to interact with executive team, branch leaders, and all other areas of the Company
  • Knowledge of accounting rules, regulations, policies, and procedures that are reflective of the financial services industry
  • Experience in AMB or similar loan level accounting systems
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills; testing required
  • Proven supervision/leadership skills of small teams
  • Positive attitude and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
